The club was established by Tom Sunley and Frank DiDonato both of whom were local teachers and heavily involved in basketball in Shropshire​​​​​​​
1998
The club was competing with 1 Cadet Boys side coached by Stan Millington and developing opportunities at other age groups

1999
Carsten Dieterich joined the Warriors coaching team bringing a wealth of high level coaching and playing experience from Germany​​​​​​​

2000
The U18 Boy's National League team won their conference to make the National playoffs for the first time
The Men's team featuring a mixture of our regular season men's players, our most promising youngsters and experienced coaches won the West Midlands summer league for the first time

2001
The Men's team came runners up in West Mids Division 1​​​​​​​

2002
The U18 Boy's team journeyed to Dublin Ireland to take on the National team and local sides​​​​​​​
2003
2004
The U14 Girl's won their National League Division and became the first, and still only, Warriors team to make the National League Final 4​​​​​​​

2005
Shropshire Warriors and TCAT established a basketball academy with head Coach Carsten Dieterich providing the basketball education​​​​​​​
2006
The U16 Girl's team travelled to compete in a tournament in Poland​​​​​​​
2007
The Sport TCAT Arena opened and became our home court with an official sized basketball court and seating for several hundred spectators​​​​​​​
2008
The Women's team won the West Mids Premier League with a victory in the last game of the season against the reigning champion birmingham force
Partnering with Birmingham Panthers BBL franchise, 2 of the Warriors promising guards Josh Crutchley and Shaun Jones joined the BBL roster and the Warriors hosted 2 BBL games at the SPORT TCAT Arena

2010
The Men's team won the West Mids Premier League
The Warriors were awarded a place in EBL Division 4 Men's
2011
The U18 Boy's won their National League Conference
The EBL Men's team finished second in Division 4 having tied on points with the winners Coalville Cougars but edged into second place by virtue of their head to head results
The Men's team were West Mids Summer League Runners up
2012
We teamed up with former Wolverhampton Rhinos players to have our first Wheelchair Basketball Team
The Men's team won the Babe Clay Rose Bowl
2013
The Wheelchair Basketball Team won Division 3 central and promotion to Division 2
2014
The Wheelchair team won National League Division 2 South and promotion to division 1
the men's b team won west midlands division 3
2015
after many long years of service to the club carsten dieterich retired from coaching with us. many of the players, coaches and parents who had benefited from carsten's mentorship were able to show their appreciation at a one off game
2016
the wheelchair basketball team won national league division 1 north and promotion to the premier league
2017
the wheelchair basketball team finished 6th in the premier league. unfortunately the team decided to disband
the men's swarm team won the west mids division 2 playoffs
the women's team came runners up in both the west mids premier league and the cup
2018
sadly this year saw the passing of coach, friend and mentor dave mclean
to honour his passing the dave mclean trophy was created as the highest honour an individual player can be awarded
2019
the u18 mens team finished top of the ybl west conference and narrowly lost in the playoff final
the mens team won the west mids premier league and the knockout shield competition
2020
we entered 4 teams into leagues and also ran sessions for minis & girls
unfortunately due to the coronavirus outbreak all basketball activity was suspended from 16th march
men's coach/club vice chairman martin lansley was the deserved winner of the west mids region media/photographer of the year in the basketball england volunteer awards
2021
Unfortunately Covid Lockdowns limited basketball opportunities for the first half of the year
By the summer we managed to secure some venue hire at Phoenix (Telford Langley School) whilst we awaited the re-opening of Telford College
We managed to enter 5 teams into leagues for the 21/22 season 2 x Men's teams in the WMBL, 1 Women's team in YBL along with an U17 boys and a mixed Minis U11 team
We also began recruiting for the 22/23 season with a Girls Development squad plus U13 & U15 Boys Development squads
2022
Our Men's first team won both the WMBL Premier Division and the Knockout Shield
The U17 boys finished 4th in their division which was commendable considering half the team had not played competitive basketball before
The Women's Team had a building season with several newborns to the Warriors family and some promising players from the Girls Squad playing their first games for the Women's team
The Minis improved both as individuals and as a team gaining valuable experience with almost all the team eligible to play at this age group again next season
2023
We increased the number of teams competing in leagues from 5 to 10 including Girls u13 & 2 Women's teams
The u13 boys made it to final of the FTG trophy narrowly losing out to Coventry Tornadoes
The Senior Women & Development Squad Women both made it to the semi final of the YBL Women's Cup to play against each other. The Senior team narrowly won the semi final but unfortunately narrowly lost out in the final to Lasers
The Development Squad Women also made it to the final of the YBL Div 2 playoffs. Losing out to worthy Champions Coventry Tornadoes
2024
The mens team won the west mids premier league
the u15 girls finished top of the west mids/wyre forest league
the u15 boys made it to the ybl semi finals
the u14 boys competed in the national league - our first Nl team for several seasons
